We had a wonderful dinner with some pretty wonderful people last night. It was so nice to get together – we need to plan dinner more often!
My friend Patti (see her guest post HERE) has issues with gluten so I tried very hard to make sure she could eat everything on the table. The only two exceptions, including dessert! were the buttermilk bread and the ranch dip that I made as an appetizer. Whoo hoo!!
I kept it nice and simple last night, pork roast wrapped in bacon

Mustard gratin potatoes, glazed carrots, salad with roasted pears and an apple cider vinaigrette plus gluten-free cornbread and buttermilk bread.

We had brown sugar and walnut brie, potato chips with ranch dip, hummus with gluten-free pretzels and provolone cheese wrapped in pepperoni to start.
Dessert was a flourless chocolate tort with an apricot glaze that my friend Shari made. It was sooooo good!
It was so nice to see everyone, our schedules have been crazy so getting together has been a challenge. We need to make sure we do it again soon, and not wait another year!
